Course Downloads – Mount Zion Bible Institute

We suggest taking one course at a time, and the first course to be “What Is a Biblical Christian?”
Feel free to use these downloads for self-study. In the USA and countries with an MZBI branch, courses may be available for correspondence study. The focus is on personal application to the heart; therefore, no ‘diplomas’ are offered. Intermediate Level

All of Grace (AOG) by Charles H. Spurgeon (1834-1892)

10 Lessons – God’s salvation for the ungodly, His unmerited grace

5 Lessons – In this study, the nature of saving faith is examined to reveal God’s call to faith and repentance. Upon completion, the believer will understand the Biblical mandate for repentance.

10 Lessons – A good starting place for those seeking Christ and to understand the true Gospel, also for the new believer and anyone who wants a better understanding of the depth of man’s sin.

12 Lessons – This course has as its overall purpose to confirm to the believer the basis of his faith, including repentance from sin. It prepares the student to defend his faith against the confusing and false message often preached today: “making a decision for Christ,” without any real commitment or submission to Christ as Lord.

Advanced Level

10 Lessons – Upon completion of this course, the student will understand some of the issues around man’s free will and God’s sovereignty in saving faith, and the Biblical answers. 10 Lessons – “All Scripture,” we are told in 2 Timothy 3:16, “is profitable,” but how much do we gain from our reading of Scripture, and by what means can we learn to profit more? These fundamental questions provide the theme for this course. Both readable and immensely practical, it has all the characteristics which have led to Pink’s recognition as one of the finest Christian writers of the twentieth century.

The Church in History – B (GS3) by Stanford Murrell

20 Lessons – This course presents a concise and dramatic overview of the major movements which have shaped the modern Christian Church. Our eyes are opened to both the sovereignty of God in building His Church, and the precarious fight for purity which has been fought continuously since the earliest days of the Reformation. 10 Lessons – PL1t uses a 48-page condensed version of The Pilgrim’s Progress as a reading text. The questions for PL1p and PL1t are fill-in-the-blank type, using the same study guide.

13 Lessons – This course presents one of the most important statements of faith in all the history of the Church, in a way that makes the basic evangelical doctrines for faith and practice both understandable and meaningful to students today.
